'Twas a Turquoise Room

Just a poem inspired by a student film I participated in.

“A lovely shade of blue,” he said

“Turqoise more like”, the lady read

Upon the script on which was writ

The scene they meant to act.

‘Twas a turquoise room in which they stayed

Two lovers that they wished portrayed

Upon the script on which was writ

The scene so full of tact.

The gentleman laughed, the lady sighed

“Turquoise, I meant of course,” he lied.

From the script on which was writ

Not one small ounce of fact.

‘Twas in a turquoise room they chanced

To talk and laugh and sing and dance

So said the script on which was writ

The life they meant to act.
