ScribeFire

Well I set up an account on ScribeFire so I can just post no matter what website I'm on, AND it's linked to my blog, www.thenewinitiative.blogspot.com, so this is awesome. Anyway, I started writing the Fairy Tale again...what you don't remember? Well it was written by Kat, who already has it up, so I'll post it up here.

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, called the Brook Land, lived a happy little princess. Her name was Yasmine and she was one of the sweetest and most beautiful princess alive at her time. She lived in the capital, which was called the Laughter Town. Oh, it is about time to mention, that she had an older sister, called Lilith. Unlike her sister, Lilith was the tomboyish type - she was into horses and martial arts and therefore spent a lot of time with the Capitan of the Royal Guard, Aderiz.

On one nice day, princess Yasmine was walking around the town, without any of the Royal Guard in a maiden's dress. She was a nice princess and wanted to know how town folks lived, but tried to hide her identity. Her mother, the Queen Bertina was a very understanding woman and allowed this kind of behavior to her daughter. Yasmine heard some noises coming from a parallel street and rushed there to see what was going on. There she saw a man, lying on the pavement. A white horse was circling around, looking as if it was ashamed of dropping the man on the ground. The princess pulled the man up and helped him make his way to the Palace.

At the Palace, she called for the help of Kirien, the royal family's Healer and Alchemist. Kirien was bound to the Palace by a promise she made long ago to now-departed King, when he saved her life. She healed the man to his senses and went out to look over Lilith practicing new martial arts technics on a garden wall.

The man opened his eyes and looked around. He was tall, blonde and handsome. Dark eyes watched carefully as Yasmine brought him a cup of water.

- Where am I? - he asked.
- You are at the Palace at the center of Laughter Town, - Yasmine answered, bashfully looking down.
- Oh? And you would you be a maid? - he asked again.

Yasmine blushed and refused to answer, realizing that she looks like a peasant girl or, like a stranger thought, a maid. She hurried off and soon, the young man was visited by the Queen herself.

- Who are you, young man? - the Queen asked.
- I'm a travelling prince, of the near-by land. - said the young man. - My name is Antuahn.
- Why would a prince, such as yourself travel alone? - the Queen asked.
- There was a revolt in my home-land and my evild uncle managed to steal the throne from me. I escaped to gain myself some followers and a name, and I'm only followed by two of my closest friends and supporters at the moment. I left them at the tavern, while I myself headed here, to seek your protection. - the prince explained.

Of course Queen Bertina granted prince Antuahn and his two followers, Miraclus and Farinz protection and ability to live at the palace.

It was a couple of days later when princess Lilith noticed that something was wrong with her younger sister. Yasmine, always so bright and sunny, was keeping quiet and tried to make herself disappear to the best of her abilities. Lilith found her sister in the garden, staring at a stream of water running by.

- What is it, Yasmine? Why have you been so sad lately? Maybe couple of exercises would cheer you up? - Lilith started.
- I don't know Lilith, I can't stop thinking of how beautiful prince Antuahn is, and how his hair flows like a golden stream, and how when he smiles the room lights up... - Yasmine sighed.

There was a pause. And then these words came out of Yasmine's mouth:

- I love prince Antuahn, Lilith.

And that is when princess Lilith first heard the word "love" spoken by her younger sister. She left Yasmine by the stream and wondered off to the other part of the garden, thinking and re-thinking what "love" really is. And she thought that intensively, that she didn't notice the man, until she bumped into him.

- You should really watch, where you are going, you brat. - came a deep voice from above.

Lilith raised her head and saw one of the men, who arrived with prince Antuahn. And then something happened, which always happens in fairy-tales, and even in real life sometimes: their eyes met, and of course they both fell in love with each other.

- I'm sorry, - said Lilith, forgetting that she is a princess, and no man should be allowed to talk like that to her.
- So am I, - whispered Farinz and took her hands into his.
- Will you be my wife, beautiful child? - he continued, forgetting even to ask her for her name.
- I will, of course I will, - cried Lilith, and if her sister would look at her at the moment, she wouldn't recognize her.

It was the same very evening, when Farinz and Lilith anounced their engagement to the Queen and the rest of the Palace. And everyone was happy for them, even the maids who already had their eyes set for the charming knight in shining armor.

Princess Yasmine was at the same time very happy for her sister, but she was also torn apart with her own feelings. Therefore, she decided to turn for help to Kirien, whom she considered much wiser than her little self. At night, she went up to the tower in which Kirien lived and knocked. No one answered, but Yasmine could hear weird noises coming from the other side of the wall. She pushed the door and it flew open. And in there princess saw Kirien, standing on top of a table and Capitan of the Royal Guard, Aderiz, standing on his knees with a hand on his heart, screaming things like "I love you lady Kirien, please marry me".

When the door cracked open, Aderiz turned to Yasmine and she that his usually-beautiful dark eyes look like dirty glass. Next moment, she saw Kirien picking up a lamp and landing it carefully on the Capitan's head. His eyes closed and he fell on the floor. The princess stood there speechless, while the Sorceress got off the table and started cleaning up the mess. Then she looked at the princess' puzzeled face and started explaining:

- I was working on a love potion...
- Isn't that illegal? - Yasmine gasped.
- Well, maybe just a little, - Kirien nodded. - Then he came in. And started asking me what is in the flask. So I said "water". And he drank it, while I wasn't looking. Next moment I knew, he was all over me.
- Can not you do something about his condition? - asked the princess.
- Not yet, my dear, not yet. I just started the potion, it will be hard to find an antidote. Though, his "condition", as you called it, will be perfectly fine, if he doesn't see me, - answered the Alchemist.
- Well, maybe you should marry him then? It would be so romantic! - exclaimed Yasmine.
- No, no, he will find no happiness in a marriage such as this. Besides, I already had one husband, and I desire no more. - Kirien sighed, putting the books back to their places.
- You were married? - the princess was surprised, about how little she knew of her elder friend.
- That was a long time ago. Some day I'll tell you the story, when you are a little more grown up. As for how he looked, there is a portrait on the table, if of course Sir. Aderiz here, did not knock it over, - and Kirien waved towards a little picture.
- But! He looks exactly like Sir. Miraclus, the one who has arrived with prince Antuahn! - screamed Yasmine in excitement.
- Yes. Doesn't he? I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are of the same blood line, - smiled Kirien.
- You should talk to him! Maybe you will fall in love with him and marry him, - continued her propositions the young woman.
- No, no. It isn't necessary. He might have the same face, but he does not have the same soul. As I already said, I already had a husband and desire no more. Now, what brought you here, my dear child? - Kirien asked.
- It is about prince Antuahn. I love him and I do not know if he loves me too, or not. What should I do, Kirien? - the princess sighed.
- You should tell him what you feel. Do not wait around, for he might be a lion in battles, but have no courage to talk of his love for you. And if he does not possess that, you can only hope to meet yet another that you might love. - Kirien said.

The princess decided to take the advice of the Sorceress. She waited for the right moment, and finally it came. She was walking in the garden, when she saw her prince sitting by the water, where not so long ago she sat, watching the flow of the stream. She approached him and sat besides him.

- Prince Antuahn, can I ask you something? - she said.
- You can ask, but I might not have the answer, - he responded reasonably.
- Do you know what love is? - Yasmine continued.
- No one knows for sure, yet everyone claims they feel it when it comes, - came the answer.
- That is so. For I feel it too. - Yasmine said, trembeling.
- That is good. Who is he, worthy of your love? - asked the prince, smiling. And it looked as if there was some saddness in his smile.
- It is you, - whispered the princess, hiding her face in her hands. And as she did, she did not see how the saddness faded away from the prince's smile.
- It is me? - he repeated.

Yasmine could not do as much as say a word. She nodded. And then she felt herself rising to the air, for the prince lifted her up in his hands in the gesture of happiness.

- And it is you, I love, - he said.

And the same evening they announced their engagement, as princess Lilith and knight Farinz did couple of evenings before. Queen Bertina was amazingly happy to see her daughters find their soulmates at the same time.

One nice day, the Capitan of the Royal Guard, Aderiz was walking through the heart of the Town, a little north of the Palace. He was alone and he was not in a good mood. His mind realized that his love for the Sorceress was unreal, but every time he saw her, his heart would ache and cause him to do things he would regret afterwards. His conscious and heart held a battle that was far from over, when he heard noises coming from a beyond a dark arch. He rushed there, just to find seven big men attacking a knight, who seemed familiar to him. Drawing his sword, he finally recognized young Miraclus, who was now obviously hurt, but not yet defeated.

Miraclus gladly accepted his help and they fought side by side, until all seven big men were lying down, unconscious. After that, Aderiz and Miraclus headed for a pub, where they drowned their victory in a fine barrel of ale. By the time they reached the Palace, they were both drunk, happy and best friends forever.

In three weeks, a huge celebration was held, for a double marriage of Princess Lilith with knight Farinz and princess Yasmine with prince Antuahn. Queen Bertina was in a state of such happiness to see her children so joyful, that she even gave Kirien permission to leave the Palace if she so pleases. She also finally gave permission to the army to attack the near-by land to take the throne from Antuahn's treacherous uncle and resolve the just King there.

And everyone lived happily ever after.

How? Let's see.

Antuahn and Yasmine moved to the near-by land, where Antuahn was the King and Yasmine the Queen. They were just rulers and had children, who turned out to be as just, wise and beatiful as their parents.

Lilith and Farinz lived all over the Brook Land, often coming back to Laughter Town. They lived among the common men and learned their ways and problems. By the time Queen Bertina retired and they took the thrones, they were skilled in knowing about the little people's lives and knew ways to make things work the best way. And even though they fought a lot, they loved each other till the very day they died, which by the way, they did on the same day.

Miraclus fought in many battles, the very first of which was under the flag of Antuahn and Bertina, in the war against the Near-by land, where the tyrant was defeated. Years later he grew tired of war and became a wondering knight, traveling the world, rescuing damsels in distress and having a reputation of the greatest hero alive.

Aderiz continued to be the Capitan of the Royal Guard, and when he became tired of that, he started off as a trainer of young knights-to-be, who yet knew not how to fight. Once he was walking around the streets of the Laughter Town and walked in to a little store, where a young Healer worked. He fell in love and got married, and never again worried about the affects of the love potion, that he accidentally drank at Kirien's tower.

Kirien, on the other hand, disappeared forever. She was never again seen in any part of Brook Land, but both Yasmine and Lilith sometimes got letters from her. All of them were sent from different places, by which the princesses determined, that the Sorceress fulfilled her dreams and traveled across all nine continents know to men and other six, yet to be discovered by her.

Cheers!
Kat.
