The Boy With No Name

There was a boy who lived in a village. He had no family, but somehow had survived by performing odd jobs for the villagers. He had no name.
One man claimed, "My name means "He who cuts down enemies in one stroke!""
The boy wept for he had no name.
A woman claimed, "I am named for a great princess who saved her people from the fearsome dragon!"
The boy wept, for he had no name.
Another man claimed, "My name was given to me by the emperor, who is a friend of my grandfather's!"
Again, the boy wept, for he had no name.
One day, a little girl passed by the hut that the little boy called home and heard the boy crying.
"Little boy," she called from without, "why do you cry?"
"The villagers all have names that have meaning, but I cry for I have no name."
"Silly boy," the little girl smiled, "why do you need a name?"
"So that I may know who I am..."
"A name does not tell you who you are!" The girl answered.
"Then what tells me who I am?" The boy asked.
"YOU!" She laughed as she pointed as she pointed at his chest.
And the boy smiled and grew to be The Brave Man With No Name.
